Stichting Car Claim has been given the green light to bring a class action suit against car makers Peugeot, Citroën, DS and Opel, their - former - parent companies Stellantis and General Motors, and their Dutch importer and official Dutch dealerships. The Amsterdam District Court gave a ruling to such effect on Wednesday, 16 August 2023. As early as in 2019, Car Claim waged a successful legal campaign against Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda, SEAT and their Dutch dealers. This proven track record turned out a relevant consideration for the court's decision.
