About Heleen Franco

Heleen Franco is a lawyer at AKD. She specialises in individual and collective labour law. She regularly advises national and multinational companies on such subjects as reorganisations, individual dismissals, working hours and the employment law aspects of M&A transactions.

Heleen takes a special interest in top-up pension schemes. Pension issues, including the pension law aspects of M&A deals, are another field on which she routinely advises clients.  In 2021, Heleen completed the specialist post-academic course in pension law at the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium).

In addition, she has gained ample expertise in the area of data protection with a focus on HR.

Heleen was admitted to the Brussels bar in 2015. Before joining AKD, she worked for two other international law firms in Brussels for six years.
